Madden 20 has as many options for offensive plays as the real game of football. At the most basic level, you need to decide if you are going to run the ball, or throw a pass. Then you need to decide what type of play you are going for, where on the field you plan on committing your players, and always leave yourself an option in case things turn south and the play falls apart. Even how you throw the ball matters, as the wrong type of pass at the wrong time could be intercepted, or fumbled.

How To Throw a Power Up Pass in Madden 20

You can perform a Bullet Pass/Power Up Pass by pressing, holding, and then releasing the button that correlates with the receiver you wish to throw the ball to. What makes the Bullet Pass a little awkward is how long you hold the button to dictate which type of a pass you get.

Holding the button for a short time results in a lob pass, which is fine if the receiver is close to you and wide open. There is little chance for a fumble or interception.

If you hold the button for an extended time, it results in a bullet pass, which sends the ball hurtling towards the receiver with a lot of power. If the receiver is in a slightly awkward position, this increases the chance of a fumble.

The sweet spot is right in the middle, to get a touch pass. It is the hardest pass to pull off. You only have a short window between the lob and bullet passes. This throw is the pass you want to try and throw to receivers who are on routes towards the endzone.

It takes a lot of practice before you master the ability to throw the perfect pass in each situation. The only way to do it is just to put in the time playing the passing game.
