How to Change Language Options in Fortnite Chapter 2
Fortnite came out with some significant improvements today. If you missed it over the weekend, Epic Games blew up Fortnite by putting the old map into a black hole. Players had to painfully wait until the game came back online to jump in, but the wait was worth it. There are plenty of new things to do in the game. However, because all of the latest changes happened, the default language settings changed in the game.
Players need to manually go in to modify the language to ensure they're reading everything correctly on their screen. The game language defaults to English, but there are many other choices to pick. To modify the settings, you need to be in the main menu.
When you're in the main menu, go to the upper right section of your screen and click the three dashes at the top. You can click this button, or hit the respective menu button of your platform or the 'Esc' button if you're using a mouse and keyboard. If you're on mobile devices, you're going to want to hit the three dashes to get into the game's menu.
After you've opened up the settings, you want to swap over to the cog icon on the upper section of the menu. Click this, and it should read 'game' in the top left section. You're going to see the first option on this menu is 'language.' You're going to multiple options to choose from in the menu.
Here are all of your options:
- Portuguese (Brazil)
- Spanish (Latin America)
Those are all of the options available for players in the game. Changing these settings is pretty straightforward, but you don't want to get stuck in the menu when you can't read what's going on.
The game is going to default to English, and it's going to read System Default (English (United States)). There's no need to change it if you can read things correctly.
Hopefully, this helps.
