Outer Worlds comes out soon, and players are eager to get their hands on the next title by Obsidian Entertainment. Those who have already tried out the science fiction game are reporting it feels like what people wanted from a sequel to Fallout: New Vegas, Obsidian’s entry in the Fallout franchise. With that in mind, many cannot wait to jump in. However, those playing on a PC are going to want to know if they can run it with their current set up. Here’s what the requirements look like if you’re going to make sure you’re going to be ready when it releases.

Outer Worlds PC System Requirements

For those worried about struggling with the Outer World’s graphics, you don’t have much to fear. The minimum requirements are not going to strain even a medium-range set up, and the recommended choices reveal a hardware setup with a GTX 1060 is going to do fine.

Minimum Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 (SP1) 64bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-3225 or AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
  • RAM: 4GB
  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 650 Ti or AMD HD 7850
  • HDD Space: 40GB

Recommended Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 64bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K or Ryzen 5 1600
  • RAM: 8GB
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB or Radeon RX 470
  • HDD Space: 40GB

Regardless of how good of set-up you have, players are going to want to make sure they have at least 40GB available on their hard drive. There’s likely going to be a day-one patch with the game, so you may want to have a bit more available, such as 50GB to 60GB, to prepare for any pushes the development team adds to the game.

Obsidian Entertainment is making it pretty easy for most medium-range PC rigs to take part in the game. Even a decent laptop could have the chance to use it if the player did not mind slightly lower graphical settings.

Outer Worlds is going to release on Oct. 25 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and to the PC via the Epic Games Store.
