How To Get Primed Mods In Warframe

Warframe

Primed Mods in Warframe are buffed versions of many of the standard mods that you will use to create your builds. They will provide additional benefits over their standard counterparts, making you even more powerful. You can only equip either a standard mod or the Primed version; you cannot use both of them in the same build.

How To Get Primed Mods In Warframe

Most Primed Mods in the game come from the Void Trader, Baro Ki'Teer. He will appear every two weeks on one of the public Relays, selling rare items for Ducats. All the Primed Mods will have their own cost of Credits and Ducats, and his stock will change every week. He will not always have Primed Mods in stock, and when he does, it will normally be limited to three or less different Mods.

There is also a small selection of Primed Mods that you can only get as login rewards. These are:

  • Primed Fury - 200 Days
  • Primed Vigor - 400 Days
  • Primed Shred - 600 Days
  • Primed Sure Footed - 900 Days

The final way to get Primed Mods is through trading with other players. You can trade Primed Mods, but not any of the four that you get as login rewards. Primed Mods have an expensive trade tax, at 1 million credits, and they usually are quite costly to buy, depending on the Rank. Fully ranked up Primed Mods can sell for anywhere from 400 to 600 Platinum, depending on the seller and the type of Mod.

A pretty steady way to make Platinum is to buy multiple copies of the same Primed Mod from Baro, then sell them to other players for Platinum. I usually recommend against buying Primed Mods for Platinum, as it is merely more sensible to wait until Baro has them in stock and then get them from him for Credits and Ducats.

When using Primed Mods in your build, remember that they will always have a higher power cost than their standard version, so you may need to use Forma on your weapon or Warframe to get them to fit into your build.
