The Disney+ streaming service will serve as the home for both new and classic TV and movies from the Disney company. It will also include exclusive programming, like the new Star Wars series The Mandalorian, as well as the live-action remake of Lady and the Tramp, and much more.
You can stream Disney+ from a PC, mobile device, and several consoles. Here’s how you stream the service from a console.
First, you need to find the Disney+ application in your console’s marketplace. The service goes live at 6am EDT on Nov. 12, which is when you should see it in the marketplace.
When the service goes up, you can find the application in the Apps section of PlayStation Network or Xbox Live, depending on which service you use. Search for it, and then download it to your console of choice. You can launch it after it downloads.
You’re going to need a Disney+ account to log in and use the service. Make sure you have one, and you’ve selected one of the subscription options for the streaming service. Currently, you can get a subscription for $6.99 per month or $69.99 for a year.
A question some few users have been asking is whether the app will also be available for Nintendo Switch. The answer is yes, but not right now.
Disney did confirm that the app would be available for Nintendo’s device. However, it’s not going to be available for launch, but rather it will come at a later time. Hopefully, we’ll see it before Christmas, which would make it quite a gift for users of the system.
