There’s nothing quite as cool as a flaming sword, whether it be in a TV series like Game of Thrones, or in a game like Assassin’s Creeds: Origins. While you may be wishing to get your hands on Hepzefa’s Legendary Fire Sword as soon as possible, you will have to progress quite far into the main story quest line to acquire it. What follows are several spoilers, so if you don’t want to read on from here, I understand. It is not possible to miss receiving this sword, so you could just carry on playing.
How to Acquire the Fire Sword
As you’re playing through the main quest line, you will eventually arrange a meeting between Cleopatra and Caesar. This ill-fated alliance will, unsurprisingly, betray the people of Egypt and clash with Bayek’s mission in the game. After Aya and Bayek travel back to Siwa on the trail of Flavius, the quest line takes them to a tomb underneath a Temple during The Final Weighing quest. In it, they find the dead body of Hepzefa. Once Bayek carries his body outside of the temple, a cutscene explains what happened. At the end of the cutscene, Bayek is awarded Hepzefa’s Sword, the fabled Legendary Fire Sword.
Flaming Sword Stats – Is it the Best Sword?
It’s very difficult to consider any weapon in Assassin’s Creed: Origins as the “best weapon.” This is due to the large variety of weaponry, suiting a great many fighting styles. The ability to upgrade weapons at a Blacksmith also allows you to bring along your favorite items as you progress through the game. Depending on the level you are at when you attempt The Final Weighing quest, the sword will drop at around Level 32.
Hepzefa’s Sword, is unique in that it can not only set enemies on fire, but is also in a constant state of flaming. This means that the weapon that cause damage to enemies even if blocked by a shield. Setting your opponent on fire is always a helpful perk, as your foe will often interrupt his attacks to try to douse themselves when ablaze. A high possibility of achieving a Critical Hit will help do more damage in a shorter time span. Receiving Adrenaline when hurt will also allow Bayek to perform a more powerful attack more often.
Finally, let’s not downplay the cool factor in wielding a flaming sword. I can’t imagine replacing Hepzefa’s Sword with anything else anytime soon!
