Destiny 2 – Lost Prophecy, Verse 1 – Garden Progeny 1

Destiny 2

Lost Prophecy Verses are all the rage in Destiny 2‘s Curse of Osiris DLC. These verses are available from Brother Vance in the Lighthouse on Mercury and require Guardians to perform certain tasks to fulfill them. A fulfilled Lost Prophecy Verse can then be used at the Weapon Forge to forge a Legendary weapon. The first weapon available to any Guardian is the Garden Progeny 1. It is forged from a fulfilled Lost Prophecy, Verse 1.

The requirements for Lost Prophecy, Verse 1 are very straight forward. You’ll need to obtain one Concentrated Radiolarian Culture. You can either find those from straight drops, if you’re lucky, or you can trade for one with Brother Vance. There are a few tricks for how to optimize your chances of finding Radiolarian Cultures quickly. Once you’ve fulfilled the prophecy, simply visit the Weapon Forge in the Lighthouse and forge the Garden Progeny 1.

The Garden Progeny 1 is a slow-firing, high damage Legendary Scout Rifle. The Power Level that it’s forged at will depend on your Guardian’s current max Power Level but tends to forge above that. That alone is a good reason to forge this weapon. Even if you don’t want to use it, there are plenty of excellent Scout Rifles that it could be infused into.

The weapon features your choice of the following perks in the first slot:

  • Extended Barrel
    • Increases range
    • Decreases handling speed
  • Polygonal Rifling
    • Increases stability
  • Arrowhead Brake
    • Greatly controls recoil
    • Increases handling speed

The second perk slot offers you a choice of the following:

  • Tactical Mag
    • Slightly increases stability
    • Increases reload speed
    • Slightly increases magazine size
  • Steady Rounds
    • Greatly increases stability
    • Slightly decreases range
  • Armor-piercing Rounds
    • Slightly increases range

Finally, the Garden Progeny 1 also includes the Outlaw perk which allows reload time to decrease with precision kills.
