In the Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid, Challenges Modes are rotating challenges that affect the different portions of the Raid. They add an extra layer of difficulty that players can effectively opt into should they wish to challenge themselves in the hope of additional rewards. In this guide we will be looking at the Pleasure Gardens Challenge section of the Raid.
The guide will assume you have knowledge of how to complete the standard Leviathan Raid. If you are new to the Raid however, but want to try and complete the Challenge modes anyway, I strongly advise you check out our Leviathan Raid Guide.
Pleasure Gardens Challenge Mode
Pleasure Gardens is where Calus keeps his prize winning space puppies. Victory here is normally achieved by collecting Spores, without letting the dogs see you, then whacking said dogs until they die. As far as the Raid goes, it is not action packed but can be fun and tense. The most important aspect is to have two spotters on top of the rocks who are alert and aware. It is entirely possible to build up six stacks of Spores and absolutely melt the dogs.
In the Pleasure Gardens Challenge mode the two spotters can only use the Sun Crystals on one plant each, for each round. This means that the four Guardians tasked with sneaking around the Gardens can only collect 24 Spores, then the team needs to do a damage phase on the dogs.
Experience in the Pleasure Gardens will actually make this Challenge quite straightforward. Grab a plant on each side for your 24 Spores, then everyone splits off to their designated dog and damages it. It is entirely possible to kill your dog with just 24 Spores, depending on how much damage your fireteam can do. The problem is that if not everyone can kill their dog it puts you on a timer for the next round. As such, it is best to just commit to having everyone kill their dogs on the same round. We very easily wrapped this up in two rounds, even if two of us nearly killed our dogs by accident during the first one.
Just keep your wits about you and the Pleasure Gardens Challenge is something you should easily be able to do, netting an extra chest of loot once you succeed. If you need help with any other aspect of Destiny 2, be sure to check out our Guide Hub.
