Fallout 4

In Fallout 4 Contraption, the player is free to build machines, conveyer belts, scaffolding kits, complex gadgets and much more to improve the Wasteland Settlements. You need to unlock the certain Hidden Perks required in order to manufacture them. This guide will show you all the perks and ranks required to unlock the higher level builds.

What are the Rank and Perk Required

Rank and Perk Required to Make Weapons, Armor, and Ammo

You should be happy that there are no perk requirements for clothing, weather change shells, food, fireworks and junk. I’m not sure if you are already aware of these hidden perks, but this is just a reminder if you’re having trouble in manufacturing them. So without any further ado, let’s begin with the Hidden perk Requirements.

Weapons and Ammo

First things first, there are no specific perks required to build the base terminal, but they change as per the terminal type. Like the weapons and ammo terminal(Energy Weapon) require Gun Nut and Science perks. Here are the perks required to manufacture the weapons and ammo.

Gun Nut 3

  • .44 Caliber Pistol – Combat Rifle

Armor and Explosives

Armor Manufacturing depends on which Rank of Armor you have unlocked, but don’t expect to manufacture synth armor.

Armor 2

Armor 3

  • Metal Armor Medium – Combat Armor Medium

Armor 4

  • Leather Armor Heavy – Metal Armor Heavy – Combat Armor Heavy

Explosives do not require the rank system as they are unlocked through the Demolition Expert and Science, but as you progress in the game the Higher-tire make a demand for certain rank.

Demolition Expert 1 – Bottle Cap Mine

  • Science 1 – Cryogenic Grenade and Cryo Mine
