In the Vault-Tec Workshop DLC, the player gets the chance to build and experiment in Vault 88. The Overseer of the Vault asks you to built a few Items during the mission and each prototype has its own results and conclusions. In Fallout 4 Vault-Tec DLC there are 4 different types of experiments we are going to try and each has different parameters to select. Every experiment will either provide the settlers happiness or kill them. It is very important to look at the notes very carefully and then try something. Once you made the choice then it cannot be changed or reversed (unless you load the previous save file). So here are the Experiments and results:

Power Cycle 1000

Basic Requirements

  • 4x Steel
  • 3x Screw
  • 2x Rubber
  • 2x Copper

Prototype

Assign settlers to work on the Power Cycle in order to produce 2 Power.

Note: This will only work in Daylight Hours

Added Power

If you add Copper(4x) then the Settler will produce 4 Power, but it will also kill him/her.

Sustained Power

To the Basic requirements if you add 4x Buffout then the Prototype will work fine and generate 2 Power, but it will also kill him/her.

Soda Fountain

Basic Requirements

  • 6x Steel
  • 3x Glass

Prototype

Assign a Settler to work at Soda Fountain with Basic Requirement(with 2 Power) and get 5 Happiness.

Appetite Suppressant

Assign a Settler to work at Soda Fountain with Basic Requirement(with 2 Power) and get 1 Food.

Mood Enhancement

Assign a Settler to work at Soda Fountain with Basic Requirement(with 2 Power) and get 15 Happiness.

Caffeination

If you add experiment with the requirements and get Steel(4), Screw(3), Rubber(2), Copper(2) then assign a Settler to work at Power Cycle to produce 2 Power.

Phoropter

Basic Requirements

  1. 4x Steel
  2. 25 Nuclear Material
  3. 3x Glass
  4. 2x Aluminum

Prototype

Assign a Settler to work at Phoropter with Basic Requirement(3 Power) and get 5 Happiness.

Subliminal Message

Assign a Settler to work at Phoropter with Basic Requirement(3 Power) and get 15 Happiness. You need to Add 2x Circuitry and use only 5 Nuclear Material.

Vault Monitoring

This works same as the Prototype.

Eye Care

Assign a Settler to work at Phoropter with Basic Requirement(3 Power) and get 10 Happiness, but only use 2 Nuclear Material instead of 25.

Slot Machine

Basic Requirement

  • 4x Steel
  • 2x Screw
  • 3x Plastic
  • 2x Gears
  • 2 Circuitry

Prototype

With 1 Power it will produce 10 Happiness

Indentured Servitude

With 1 Power it will produce 29 Caps Daily(Workshop)

Profiling

Adding 2x Glass to the basic requirement and giving 1 Power it will produce 5 Happiness and 10 Caps.

Lost Revenue

Adding 500 BottleCaps to the basic requirement and giving 1 Power it will produce 15 Happiness.
