How long is Fortnite downtime, and when exactly does Chapter 2 Season 4 start?

How long must we wait?

Fortnite’s 14.00 update is available to download right now, paving the way for Chapter 2 Season 4. This new season is all about Marvel, and the update contains a huge number of new cosmetics related to all the new heroes involved in the season. While you can download the update, the servers are unfortunately offline at the moment.

While Epic sent a tweet from the Fortnite Status account to let us all know the servers would be going offline, they have, unfortunately, not said anything about when they would be back. The servers went down at 6:00 UTC, and if past updates are any indicator, it will take about two hours for them to come back up, so we should hopefully be able to jump into the game and start exploring Chapter 2 Season 4 by about 8:00 UTC.

It is a good idea to follow the Fortnite Status account, as they will tweet to let us all know when the servers are back up. Although, if you are anything like us, you are sitting at your computer with the Epic Games Store library open, waiting for the little “Server Offline” message to switch into a launch button.

This new season is generating a lot of hype already, thanks to the presence of so many Marvel characters in the game. You can expect to see Wolverine, Groot, Iron Man, She-Hulk, Doctor Doom, Thor, and many more when you log in and start playing the game. A new season also means maps changes, new challenges, new mechanics, and a host of new weapons to have fun with.
