Sylveon is one of the many evolutions Eevee can become given you follow the exact steps you need to have to turn into that particular evolved form in the Pokémon games. In Pokémon Go, you have to follow similar intricate steps, but these steps are different because Pokémon Go and the traditional Pokémon games do not have the same items. Of the eight Eevee evolutions, Sylveon is not available in Pokémon Go, but we’re closer to finding it following the first release of the Kalos Celebration.
Sylveon is a Fairy-type Pokémon, meaning its one of the rare Pokémon types that are super effective against a Dragon-type. It first appeared during Pokémon X and Y versions set in the Kalos region. With the Kalos region officially joining Pokémon Go, we’re getting closer. Sylveon is likely on the horizon as you can now see them in the new loading screen in Pokémon Go. However, the Pokémon is still not in the game. You won’t be able to evolve your Eevee into one, not quite yet.
The traditional method of how you evolved an Eevee into a Sylveon involves earning a high friendship with it, which you do battling with it and having it in your party. Many fans have been speculating that players will need to become best buddies with an Eevee before evolving it, or they may need to go through certain steps to make it happen. At this time, we’re not too sure about the best method players to follow to acquire this Pokémon. If it is a best buddy, then players will need to wait quite a bit of time, or they may need to cave and purchase some poffins from the Pokémon Go in-game store to make the process easier.
We’ll be updating this guide when Sylveon does become readily available in Pokémon Go.
