In Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon the player will get to choose either Litten(Fire-Type), Rowlet(Grass-Type), or Popplio(Water-Type) and each Pokemon has three stages of evolution. So here is the breakdown for each and every starter Pokemon.


Litten is a Fire-Type Pokemon so all Fire-type Pokemon Fans can go ahead with this little kitten-like Pokemon, with black fur. It has red markings on its face, some red whiskers, and red-striped legs. Litten has yellow eyes and its tail has a ragged end. Litten evolves into Torracat at level 17 and then Incineroar at level 34. When its trainer and partners get into a pinch, it will make an effort to save everyone it trusts and cares.

Pokemon Sun Pokedex: While grooming itself, it builds up fur inside its stomach. It sets the fur alight and spews fiery attacks, which change based on how it coughs.

Pokemon Moon Pokedex: It doesn’t allow its emotions to be easily seen. Earning its trust takes time. It prefers solitude.

Rowlet is a Grass-Type small avian Pokemon resembling a young owl with a round body and short legs. ts feet have two forward-facing toes and one backward facing toe; they are the same color as the lower half of its beak. This Pokemon is able to rotate its head almost 180 degrees and has excellent night vision. Rowlet evolves into Dartrix at level 17 and then Decidueye at level 34.

Pokemon Sun Pokedex: This wary Pokemon uses photosynthesis to store up energy during the day while becoming active at night.

Pokemon Moon Pokedex: Silently it glides, drawing near its targets. Before they even notice it, it begins to pelt them with vicious kicks.

Popplio is Water-Type blue sea lion Pokemon, who has a white mouth with whiskers and a round pink nose. It has a light blue collar around its neck and has a flat body, with two pairs of claws and flippers. It is capable of learning Water Gun. Popplio evolves into Brionne at level 17 and then Primarina at level 34. He is able to snort bubbles of water from its nose, which it uses as part of its battle strategy, and it can swim at 25 mph (40 km/h). On land, it uses the elasticity of its bubbles to perform acrobatic stunts and jumps.
