Sony Boss Talks About Bringing Back Crash Bandicoot, says "I Definitely Wouldn't Close The Door on That"
Playstation fans still love Crash Bandicoot, even though the IP (which was originally created by Naughty Dog) is now owned by Activision. In a recent interview to UK's Daily Telegraph, Sony Boss Andrew House talked about bring back "Crash Bandicoot" to its first home, Playstation.
When asked if, when looking at Nintendo's reuse of characters, if we'd ever see a Crash Bandicoot or Spyro the Dragon revival anytime soon? Andrew House replied that "I definitely wouldn't close the door on that"
"This is very dangerous ground," House said. "In concept, it is something we've been thinking about and discussing, and this is a shift for us. We've started to say that maybe there isn't anything wrong with going back and looking at characters that people still talk about, that were a big part of either their childhood or their youth. I definitely wouldn't close the door on that."
Unfortunately its a mixed bag of news for Playstation community as Naughty Dog are currently holding a fan art content at present and entries for Crash Bandicoot are not allowed at all (how sad this sound, the IP they created are not allowed).
It's not that Naught Dog didn't asked Activision for a special treatment for this "Far Art Content" and allow Crash Bandicoot entries but sadly, "We asked. It’s not something we can offer for this." was the response ND received from Activision.
