Killing Floor 2 Dev Targeting 1080p/60FPS For PS4 Version, says "We Don't Think A Lower Frame Rate Looks More Cinematic"
"Lower Frame Rate Looks More Cinematic", you might have heard this excuse/reason from developers numerous time on why their games are not running at 60FPS. Now, Tripwire Interactive has announced that they are targeting 1080p/60FPS for Killing Floor 2 and stated that "We don't think that a lower frame rate looks more cinematic."
When asked about at what resolution/FPS, Killing Floor 2 will run on PlayStation 4, Tripwire Interactive said:
"We don't have the full answer for this, as we are still in development. Our goal is to get to 1080 and 60 frames per second. We can't guarantee we will hit that goal, but we wanna make the game look as good as possible and try and achieve that goal. We'll see where we'll get to and we'll keep the community informed along the way on where we manage to get"
The studio further added:
"Yeah, we're fans of the 60 frames per second. We don't think that a lower frame rate looks more cinematic."
Killing Floor 2 takes place in continental Europe in a time when a deadly outbreak has spread, gathering "unstoppable momentum" and "essentially paralyzing the European Union."
Set just a month after the events of the original Killing Floor, Killing Floor 2 drops players into a world where society is in total disarray. Communications are down, governments have collapses, and military forces are nowhere to be seen.
