The Coalition Confirms Gears of War Ultimate Edition Campaign Runs At 30FPS, Only Multiplayer Is 60FPS
One of the spotlights in the Gears of War Ultimate Edition promotional campaign has been 60 frame per seconds. According to this marketing claim, the overall experience would have been running at 60 frames per second, but this is not the case.
Just a few days ahead of the official release, The Coalition's Rod Fergusson has confirmed the main campaign runs at 30 frames per second instead.
Fergusson states that only the multiplayer component runs at double the original frame-rate, since the team wanted to “push visuals further in single-player”.
As the game launches in five days in North America, we will discover really soon if The Coalition has really managed to push those visuals in single-player maintaining the original frame-rate, and if the multiplayer experience is as smoot as you would expect.
