Tom Clancy's The Division First Tech Analysis Confirms Downgrade, XB1 Port Even Worse Than 900p Ubisoft Games
Ubisoft is bringing Tom Clancy's The Division on tour, letting people give it a try before deciding whether to buy it or not before it actually ships. Which is good, also considering there will be an Xbox One exclusive beta in December.
As you might imagine, among those trying the game there was also some expert willing to critically analyze The Division from a technical point of view, such as NX Gamer.
The version provided at EGX was for Xbox One, and NX Gamer claims the game is sub-native and has a look even worse than other 900p Ubisoft games like Assassin's Creed Unity. If this ends up being like Watch Dogs, it will be 900p on PS4. There are a lot of anti-aliasing issues, too.
The engine, anyway, handles SSR quite well, with decent enough explosions, but environments are otherwise very static with not much of destructible items around there. A deeper analysis would require a further direct capture, but it seems it could be already confirmed there has been a severe downgrade since the early days of the announcement.
Let us know in the comments below what's your take on this matter, and if it does really matter for the title to be that brilliant in your opinion or it's just all about gameplay.
