Bungie Not Planning To Use Micro-Transactions To Buff King's Fall Drop Rates, Fixing Nightfall Rewards

Destiny: The Taken King

Lead designer Luke Smith has reached Twitter to do a few communications about Destiny and the recent rumors coming from the Internet, in particular regarding the new Silver in-game currency and the way it will be used in the future.

According to Smith, Bungie is not planning to use Silver and micro-transactions to do things that will have an impact on the drop rate of bosses.

"We aren't (nor are we planning) on selling consumables that buff King's Fall drop rates for Silver", is what the lead designer specifically said on this topic. Recent rumors stated the developer was working to bring micro-transactions into something more than simple Emotes.

On the other hand, Smith acknowledged that "Nightfall Rewards can be underwhelming", and admitted Bungie is working hard to "fix it" listening to the feedback of fans.

"Nightfall Rewards can be underwhelming. Runes/low # of coins/no reputation burst/weak legendaries all feel like losing. We're gonna fix it".

We would like to hear your voice as Destiny fans to see if all of these words, especially those about micro-transactions, satisfy you in the face of menaces to game’s balance. Is this enough? Let us know in the comments below.
