Rainbow Six Siege Sold Less Than 76K Units, Debut At No 6 On UK Charts, AC: Syndicate Sales Also A Flop
Rainbow Six Siege has been pretty disappointing from a critics point of view, but that's not the only issue Ubisoft is facing with the game so far. UK sales have not been really positive for the new shooter, at least in the lunch week, with the title only reaching the six spot in the top ten behind games already on the market for a while ahead of it.
Specifically, the UK chart is:
- FIFA 16 - 149,742 (-41%)
- Call of Duty Black Ops III - 136,476 (-32%)
- Star Wars Battlefront - 102,960 (-34%)
- Just Cause 3
- Fallout 4 - 75,993 (-27%)
- Rainbow Six: Siege
Being at the sixth position in the United Kingdom means the game has sold less than 75,000 units over there, which is not that good considering FIFA 16 has sold almost the double and Call of Duty Black Ops III is still well ahead… doubling it. And it's in the same genre.
What's not so comfortable for the future of this series is Ubisoft had a 7 million lifetime sales target, which at this point looks rather distant and unlikely to be reached.
PC digital sales have not been that good so far, too. According to Steamspy, Rainbow Six Siege has only 73,416 owners on Valve's digital platform (although it is also available on Uplay). Things are not going that good for Assassin's Creed Syndicate, too, since it has only sold less than 48,000 copies on Steam.
