Fallout 4 Performance Improvement In Patch 1.02 Came At A Cost, "Graphics Downgrade" On PC, PS4 and XB1
Recently, Bethesda released patch 1.02 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with an aim to fix the performance issue. Digital Foundry in their tech analysis report confirmed a boost in performance and no more FPS drop to 20 in Corvega Factory. Do these improvements come at a cost? According to a new report coming out from Neogaf, Bethesda downgraded the graphics and visuals of Fallout 4 to improve performance with patch 1.02.
Neogaf user Ricerocket has shared a screenshot of Corvega Assembly Plant area (you can check it out below), the location where frame-rate dropped to as low as 20FPS. It is very clear that Bethesda removed the shadows effect from Corvega Factory location and it was a deliberate move considering the fact that so far no reports or screenshots has been shared to prove that the graphics downgrade applies to the whole game.
