Call of Duty: Black Ops Breaks Modern Warfare 2 Day One Sales Record
Immediately after its launch Call of Duty: Black Ops had being know for all the wrong reason (bugs and glitch). But after reading the sales figure details of Black Ops for day one publisher and developer will heave a sigh of relief rather than feeling proud.
Call of Duty: Black Ops has smashed Modern Warfare 2 record of opening day sales, as it become the biggest ever entertainment launch with $360 million revenue in United Kingdom and United States alone. On its launch day Modern Warfare collected $310 million.
Giving out the details Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick said
"There has never been another entertainment franchise that has set opening day records for two consecutive years and we are on track to outperform last year's five-day global sales record of $550 million,"
