Watch Dogs 2 Will Allow To "Breathe" Other Ubisoft Brands, Including Assassin's Creed
Ubisoft is taking advantage of Watch Dogs 2 in order to make "other brands" have some room to improve and just "breathe". And Among those brands sure enough we can find Assassin's Creed, which is not releasing with any new title name this year.
While there's a Assassin's Creed movie about to launch out there, Ubisoft ultimately thinks "feedback" led it into the direction of leaving Assassin's Creed have a break after the Unity debacle and the pretty good work they managed to do, thanks to Ubisoft Quebec's entry among the studios working on the series, with Syndicate. Recently Ubisoft announced The Division Movie as well.
Alain Corre, Ubisoft http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2016-08-01-ubisoft-our-vr-games-will-be-profitableEMEA territories head, told GamesIndustry International:
"This year we have five AAA franchises to come. Watch Dogs 2 is coming and we think that can be a super good game at the end of this year. We've listened to all the feedback people were sending us after Watch Dogs 1 and we've ticked all the boxes for improving the game and making the size of the game twice as big, and the hacking system lets you now hack anybody, all the vehicles and drones and so on,"
"We've also added more multiplayer and co-op. For us, now we can count on all these franchises, which is great because it allows us to let some of our brands breathe."
Watch Dogs 2 is releasing on November 15 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
