TLOU: Remastered PS4 Pro Patch 1.7 Live, HDR Comparison Screenshots Show Vast Graphics Improvement
The Last of Us was a masterpiece on PlayStation 3. A remastered version for PlayStation 4 showed the world what exactly the new console from Sony (with 8GB RAM) is capable of achieving. Around a week time is left for the release of PlayStation 4 Pro (an upgrade version of PS4 with better GPU processing power, 4.2 teraflops), and guess what The Last of Us: Remastered is one of the first game that will give PlayStation fans a glimpse of what PS4 Pro is capable of achieving in terms of graphics and visuals.
Naughty Dog has just released a PlayStation 4 Pro and HDR patch for The Last of Us Remastered. PlayStation fans can now download Patch 1.7 for The Last of Us Remastered, and as mentioned above, the update adds PS4 Pro and HDR support to the game (don't get confused as PS4 Pro is not needed for the update to be downloaded).
A Neogaf member downloaded and installed The Last of Us: Remastered patch 1.7 and captured few comparison screenshots to show the graphical and visuals improvements that come with it. Please note that the screenshots shared by Neogaf user is off-screen but still shows the improvements (and it is visible with naked eyes, no need of a special tech or glasses).
The screenshots on the LEFT are taken with HDR OFF, whereas the one on the right is with HDR ON. The lighting, Shadows, and colors have improved a lot and are very close to what we see in real life under similar conditions.
