Blizzard Doesn't Rule Out Overwatch Nintendo Switch Version

Blizzard could consider bringing one of its most successful titles out there, the multiplayer first-person shooter Overwatch, to the Nintendo Switch. This is, at least, what game director Jeff Kaplan said, even though a few weeks ago the Irvine developer debunked such hypothesis because of the portable mode of the new console and the always online requirement.

Overwatch For Nintendo Switch?

"I'm loving the Switch! My second favorite gaming platform of all time is the 3DS. Getting OW on the Switch is very challenging for us. But we're always open minded about exploring possible platforms," Kaplan told the Reddit users on Overwatch public thread.

This is far away from a confirm of Blizzard's interest since the game director is possibly expressing his own opinion there and not the one of the company. It must be considered, though, that a few years ago it was considered impossible for them to even work on consoles, and then Diablo III came to PS3 and Xbox 360, and later Overwatch came to PS4 and Xbox One alongside the PC version.

So you definitely never know..
