GameStop: Project Scorpio Is A "Very Powerful System Really Made For 4K"
GameStop COO Tony Bartel discussed the upcoming Project Scorpio during a recent talk with investors, stating the console is very, very powerful. The retailer is impressed by how much powerful is, even though it can't go too further into details because of an NDA in place now, and probably set to lift up after the proper E3 2017 presentation.
"Unfortunately we can't talk about a lot other than what's known." Scorpio is "a very powerful system that's really made for 4K", he added (at investors call). "We see it [as] a very gaming centric, very, very powerful unit and so we do believe that there will be some great games that are made for this."
Talking about recent physical sales, CEO Paul Raines said that "In physical gaming there have been cyclical declines without question, but we have very strong cards to play in Nintendo Switch, Sony VR and Microsoft Scorpio," so there's a huge anticipation not only from gamers but, as you can see, from retailers themselves.
Guess we'll need to wait and see what happens at E3 2017 to say if Project Scorpio will be worth of all this anticipation.
