Ubisoft Finding It Difficult To Port Steep On Nintendo Switch, Might Get Cancelled - Insider
There is hardly any third-party developer support for Nintendo Switch, and it seems like the situation is not going to improve as the developers are finding it difficult to port their games to Nintendo Switch. According to the new report coming out from IGN France, Ubisoft is finding it really difficult to port STEEP on Nintendo Switch.
Ubisoft announced Steep for Nintendo Switch way back in January 2017, and since then we haven't heard anything from the development team. IGN France states that even though are the difficulties in porting STEEP to Nintendo Switch, the development work still continues and Nintendo has jumped into the scenario to assist the development team.
The source close to IGN further adds that Nintendo fans should now keep their hopes in check with respect to STEEP for Nintendo Switch because Ubisoft is facing a lot of problems and they still exist. Also, there is neither an update from Nintendo nor from Ubisoft.
Steep is already available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is an extreme sports game set in an open world environment of the Alps and Denali (Mount McKinley). Players are free to explore these areas at will. STEEP can be played in third-person and first-person perspective, and it comes with an option for players to make a switch between them at will.
