Battlefield 3 To Have Dedicated Servers
DICE Executive Producer, Patrick Bach has shared few more details about Battlefield 3 in an interview with Game Informer. The most important among them is that they are planning to have a dedicated servers for the game.
The executive producer also revealed that this time game mods in Battlefield 3 will be very much different as compared to previous games in Battlefield franchise. However developers are still discussing on how to get mods implemented in the game, as currently the focus is to concentrate on single player, multiplayer and co-op modes in the game.
“Squads are really easy to set up, but how can you take that further? We have some really cool things that we’ll show later when it comes to dictating how you play with friends.”
Patrick Bach also comment that the leading platform for Battlefield 3 will be PC, “We won’t make it for console and port it to PC — that’s not how we do things. “We’re focusing on PC first, and then we fiddle with it to fit it onto consoles.”
