Xbox Executive On Xbox One X And PS4 Pro: "Similar Idea, But Execution Is Slightly Different"
Xbox One X is launched as one of the most powerful gaming console in the market, promising true 4K gaming. Final launch is scheduled in the month of November, and a statement coming out from Global Marketing Head of Xbox which clears that down the line Microsoft does appreciate PS4 Pro.
Talking to Mcvuk.com, Albert Penello who leads the Marketing division of Xbox consoles spoke about PS4 Pro. He said "I give them a lot of credit for what they did there. But for me, the most interesting observation is that we both arrived at a similar idea even if the execution is slightly different."
Later he added, "This business tends to diverge and converge in interesting ways, and obviously we don’t know what they’re doing. We don't have insight into what their plans are, so when they announced the Pro, I was as surprised as anybody else was."
"They had a different idea in mind for what they wanted to build, so in retrospect, it may seem like we were reacting to what they were doing. But people in the business know that this has been in the works for years, and we have to lock the specs years in advance."
Notably, Xbox One X is marked as ‘True 4K’ platform, which means it will deliver superior quality than PS4 Pro that offers ‘Dynamic 4K’. Talking about the specs of One X, it is yet a very powerful console, what matters now is getting the games rightly ported, which can run and take a full benefit of such high configuration. This will make seamless 4K possibility a truth.
