Dev: Ghost of Tsushima Trailer Was In-Engine Footage, Not CGI

Ghost of Tsushima - Sucker Punch's New IP

The cinematic trailer for The Last of Us: Part II was not the only outstanding announcement of Paris Games Week 2017. Sony also revealed the brand new IP that Sucker Punch (the studio behind the Infamous video game franchise) has been working on for a while now, titled as Ghost of Tsushima. You can watch the debut trailer below - Sucker Punch confirmed via a developer diary on official PlayStation YouTube Channel that the sequences showcased in the trailer are not CGI, in fact, it was all running in-engine.

Furthermore, the studio went on to reveal that Ghost of Tsushima is an Open World action adventure game which has been in development for three and a half years - work on the new IP started after Sucker Punch completed the Infamous: Second Son.

As mentioned above, Ghost of Tsushima is going to be an open world game, it means players will have the full freedom to explore the world the way they want to. In addition to this, there will be certain stealth elements present in the game. There is no release window yet for Ghost of Tsushima but we expect it to arrive at some point in 2019.
