Matt Walker, Producer At Capcom, has confirmed via Twitter that Devil May Cry V will be PS4 Pro enhanced, and it will run at 4K resolution and 60FPS.
At Tokyo Game Show 2018, Capcom showcased a brand new gameplay footage of Devil May Cry V featuring Dante, and it featured everything a fan of the series would love to see: Dante’s fiery kicks, his own way of using the motorbikes as weapons, and many other things. Today, Capcom Producer Matt Walker shared major details regarding Devil May Cry via Twitter: Resolution and FPS at which the game is going to run on PlayStation 4.
When asked by a fan: will Devil May Cry 5 be PS4 Pro enhanced? Matt replied: “It will indeed” and added that it will run at 4K resolution and 60 FPS on PlayStation 4 Pro. There was no confirmation from Matt on whether it’s going to be a native 4K resolution, but in my opinion, it won’t run at native 4K, nonetheless, the game still looks impressive as seen in the latest gameplay footage (showcased at TGS 2018).

In another news, Capcom recently confirmed that Devil May Cry 5 will feature microtransactions i.e. players will have an option of buying the Red Orbs with real money and then using it to unlock skills and other elements in the game. Here’s what Matt Walker and Director Hideaki Itsuno said while defending the move to include the microtransactions in the game:
“It’s interesting because from a game design point of view there are two different things we think about when we set the prices of the moves, skills, and abilities. The first thing is the stuff that we feel people should want to get first is made cheaper. So people will think, ‘Oh this is cheap so I’m just going to buy this.’ But then for the stuff that’s going to be harder to use and master, we make that more expensive. Partly because of you save up for that you’re not going to be able to buy as many skills, so you’re going to have the time to learn it. So you have to make the decision between going for the cheaper stuff or saving up, getting the thing that has a lot of application but you’ll have to spend time learning and perfecting.”
Devil May Cry 5 is scheduled to launch worldwide on March 8, 2019, for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
