Looking to beef up your collection of Pokémon in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon? A new Legendary Pokémon promotion is happening this month, and you’ll get two new Pokémon to add to your stash by participating.
Starting on April 22, you can head to a participating Target to receive a card with a promotion code on it for either Raikou or Entei, based on the game version you redeem the code on. You can use the codes on Pokémon Ultra Sun, Pokémon Ultra Moon, Pokémon Sun, or Pokémon Moon, so if you’re still trying to complete that Pokédex in either game, this should prove a nice boon for that goal.
Both dog-like Legendaries hail from the John region, with Raikou demonstrating powerful lightning abilities and Entei having dangerous fire-based attacks. Curiously missing from the choice of Raikou and Entei up for grabs is Suicune, but there are tons more Legendaries coming out of the woodwork later this year, including Xerneas and Yveltal next month and Shiny Zygarde this June, culminating in Ho-Oh and Lugia this November.
It’s all part of the Legendary Pokémon celebration that’s going on as part of the 20th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise.
If you want to join in on the fun and get your own Raikou and Entei, make sure you do so before April 29, when the cards cease distribution. And please, one per person. Don’t be that person who sells off extra codes on eBay.
