Just days after announcing that it was moving on from failed arena shooter LawBreakers, Boss Key Productions has revealed its new project, and it’s a free-to-play battle royale game.

Called Radical Heights, the game goes live on Steam early access tomorrow, April 10. You can check out the reveal trailer below in all of its Alpha gameplay glory.

The game takes place in 2023, with a colorful aesthetic and a style right out of the 1980s. In-game, you pick up and search for money that is maintained in your inventory from game to game, instead of losing it all upon death or starting a new match.

“This is a five month passion project for the studio as we’re creating and publishing the game entirely by ourselves,” Radical Heights Creative Director Zach Lowery said to Game Informer. “We’re huge fans of Battle Royale games along with the bright, inviting irreverence of the 80s aesthetic. Because of that, we want to put our own spin on the genre and create a futuristic 80s world that takes place in 2023 during an over-the-top game show where contestants battle it out for fame and prizes.”

As you play, “game show moments” will pop up randomly that allow you to do things like spin a wheel, open a prize door, or just kill another “contestant” so you can take their money. Earning more money makes you more famous, but what that means in-game is a question mark right now.

Another shtick in Radical Heights is the ability to ride a BMX bike and pull off sweet tricks, as well as use workout trampolines to jump high into the air, confetti bombs, inflatable decoys, and remote explosives.

You won’t have to wait long to try out the newest attempt at capitalizing on the battle royale genre’s popularity, as Radical Heights goes live on Steam tomorrow.
