The Game Awards 2018 has a date set, and tickets are about to go on sale. This year's awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, Dec. 6, and it's set to take place in Los Angeles.
Produced by gaming journalist Geoff Keighley, this year's show celebrates both gaming and esports in 2018, with the ceremony also "world premiering the most anticipated games of the future," according to a press release. Tickets go on sale June 8 at 12pm CT.
"Our team is deep into planning the 2018 show, which will be our biggest production yet," Geoff Keighley said in a press release. "We're taking all the elements that worked last year and adding even more to the experience. I can't wait to share more later this year!"
Alongside purchasing tickets to see The Game Awards 2018, gamers watching from home can view a livestream available "across all gaming, social, and digital platforms" when it airs on Dec. 6 at 7:30pm CT. The Game Awards is traditionally stocked with major reveals, so expect some new announcements during the show.
In the meantime, the biggest gaming show of the year is about to begin. E3 2018 starts next week on Tuesday, June 12 and lasts until June 14.
