During E3 2018, several games were announced for Nintendo Switch, including Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
E3 2018 is here, and there were a ton of announcements for Nintendo Switch during the show. Most reveals came from Nintendo itself during its Nintendo Direct, although a few came from other press conferences and shows.
For those who missed out, here’s every single Nintendo Switch game revealed during this year’s E3 2018. This list includes any games that did not have an official gameplay or title reveal prior to E3 2018, such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as well as any Switch ports announced during E3.
Disgaea 1 Complete
Disgaea 1 Complete was unveiled by NIS America on June 13 through an announcement trailer. The game serves as an HD remaster for the original Disgaea, which first released in in the U.S. in 2003. Expect Disgaea 1 Complete on Oct. 9, 2018 through the Nintendo eShop.
Dragon Ball FighterZ
Arc System Works’ fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ is finally coming to Nintendo Switch. Universally praised by both the fighting game community and Dragon Ball fans alike when it first launched in January 2018, Dragon Ball FighterZ will arrive on the Nintendo Switch sometime in 2018.
FIFA 19
That’s right, FIFA is coming back to the Nintendo Switch—and this time, it features online play too. The game will reportedly have its own custom engine when it launches and won’t run on Forstbite. Expect FIFA 19 on Sept. 28.
Team Sonic Racing
Sonic the Hedgehog is getting yet another racing game, and this one is coming to Nintendo Switch as well. While no release date was announced, expect Team Sonic Racing for Switch sometime this winter.
Trials Rising
Ubisoft is set to bring yet another title to Nintendo Switch, and this time, it’s motorcycle racing platformer Trials Rising. Unveiled during Ubisoft’s E3 2018 press conference, expect this game to launch on the Switch in February 2019.
Starlink: Battle for Atlas
Toys-to-life action-adventure title Starlink: Battle for Atlas is headed to Nintendo Switch on Oct. 16, 2018, and Switch owners are receiving a special bonus: Star Fox characters and ships will feature within the Switch version, letting players live out their dreams of a new Star Fox title on Nintendo’s latest console.
My Friend Pedro
During Devolver Digital’s admittedly bizarre E3 2018 press conference, the indie gaming publisher announced My Friend Pedro for Nintendo Switch. The game features side-scrolling shooter mechanics similar to Elevator Action, and players can activate slow motion, glide through midair, or use objects like pans to bounce bullets off onto their enemies. Expect this title for early 2019.
The Elder Scrolls: Legends
Bethesda may be looking to the next-generation already, but they’re also open to bringing more games onto the Nintendo Switch. During Bethesda’s E3 2018 press conference, the company announced that its free-to-play card game The Elder Scrolls: Legends is getting a redesign and will be coming over to Nintendo Switch later this year. All progress from Legends’ PC and mobile versions will transfer over to Switch, letting players cycle between platforms as they choose.
Fallout Shelter
Another free Bethesda game is coming to Nintendo Switch as well. Fallout Shelter, the enormously popular mobile Fallout Vault simulator, was announced during Bethesda’s E3 2018 press conference. The game is available now through the Nintendo eShop.
Daemon X Machina
Armored Core spiritual successor Daemon X Machina was announced during Nintendo’s E3 2018 Nintendo Direct. Developed by Marvelous and set for 2019, Daemon X Machina lets players engage in intense mech combat with their own customizable character.
Super Mario Party
Mario Party is back, and this time it’s heading to Nintendo Switch. Nintendo announced Super Mario Party during its E3 2018 Nintendo Direct, and the game promises four-player local multiplayer gameplay. Players can split off into teams and use two Nintendo Switches, or simply rely on one Switch while sharing four Joy-Cons. Super Mario Party launches on Oct. 5.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Fire Emblem: Three Houses was announced during Nintendo Direct: E3 2018, and the game serves as the first major installment within the Fire Emblem series on the Nintendo Switch. Touting advanced graphics, immersive battlefields, and that all-too-familiar narrative-driven tactical RPG gameplay, Fire Emblem: Three Houses will release on the Switch sometime in spring 2019.
Overcooked 2
One of the Nintendo Switch’s most popular local multiplayer titles is back, and this time it features online play. Overcooked 2 was revealed during E3 2018’s Nintendo Direct, and the game launches on Nintendo Switch on Aug. 7.
Killer Queen Black
Killer Queen Black, a remake of New York University Game Center’s indie arcade game Killer Queen, is coming to Nintendo Switch. This online multiplayer game features unique real-time strategy platforming gameplay where eight players split off into teams of two, with each team led by one Queen. There’s three ways for players to win, which range from killing the enemy team’s Queen three times to riding a snail to the team’s home, assuring victory.
Expect Killer Queen Black for later this winter.
Fortnite: Battle Royale
Yes, Fortnite is finally available on Nintendo Switch. Unveiled during Nintendo’s E3 2018 Nintendo Direct, Fortnite: Battle Royale is available now through the Nintendo eShop. The game features party chat through the Switch’s headphone jack, too.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Last but not least, Nintendo finally unveiled Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for Nintendo Switch. Featuring every single fighter from Super Smash Bros. history, and a few new faces too, Ultimate promises a revamped and streamlined Smash experience perfect for newcomers and competitive players alike. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches on Dec. 7, 2018.
