Pokémon Go’s lineup of available Raid bosses has shifted once again, and this latest roster of challenges adds the Legendary Pokémon Registeel along with the last batch of Alolan Pokémon! Trainers will now be able to challenge and catch Alolan Raichu and Alolan Marowak, available for the first time in Pokémon Go. This newest assortment of Raids also marks the return of the hilariously lovable Alolan Exeggutor, in case you missed out on catching one.

Trainers will now be able to challenge and catch Alolan Raichu and Alolan Marowak, available for the first time in Pokémon Go. This newest assortment of Raids also marks the return of the hilariously lovable Alolan Exeggutor, in case you missed out on catching one.
Alolan Pokémon are alternate versions of Pokémon that have developed differently in Pokémon’s Alola region. Unlike Shiny Pokémon, Alolan Pokémon do feature different stats or movesets than their non-Alolan versions. It’s worth noting that Shiny versions of these Alolan Pokémon are not yet available. No Shiny Alolan Pokémon can be obtained in Pokémon Go at this time.
Alolan Pokémon, introduced in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, have been gradually added to Pokémon Go since May 2018. There are a total of 18 Alolan Pokémon and, with the addition of Alolan Raichu and Alolan Marowak, all Alolan Pokémon have been made available in Pokémon Go.
However, not all Alolan Pokémon are currently obtainable. Alolan Diglett and Alolan Geodude have been made available during events only, and cannot be hatched from Eggs as with other Alolan forms. If you missed out, you’ll have to wait for these Pokémon (and their evolved forms, including Alolan Graveler and Alolan Golem, as well as Alolan Dugtrio) to be added again.
Here’s a full list of the latest raid encounter Pokémon, many of whom are first-time raid bosses! Do note that Alolan Raichu is a Tier 3 boss and Alolan Marowak is at Tier 4, so be ready for a challenge! Don’t miss out on your chance to obtain these awesome new Alolan forms:
Tier 1: Charmander, Kabuto, Magikarp, Makuhita, Meditite, Omanyte, Wailmer
Tier 2: Alolan Exeggutor, Kirlia, Magmar, Mawile, Sudowoodo
Tier 3: Alolan Raichu, Donphan, Flareon, Machamp, Onix, Porygon
Tier 4: Absol, Aggron, Alolan Marowak, Golem, Houndoom, Tyranitar
Tier 5: Mewtwo, Registeel
It’s also worth noting that the addition of Kirlia and Porygon to Raids presents a great opportunity to catch extras of these generally rare Pokémon to be transferred for valuable Candy. With the addition of Generation IV on the horizon, we’ll likely soon see see their cross-generation evolutions, Gallade and Porygon-Z, so you may wish to take advantage of the opportunity to stock up on Candies in preparation.
