If you’re looking to inch even closer to completing your Pokémon Go Pokedex, now’s your chance! Starting Sept. 20 at 1pm PT, the Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo will be available in regular Raid Battles. You’ll have until Oct. 23 at 1:00pm PT to catch as many Mewtwo as you’d like. Additionally, Trainers will be able to hatch the incredibly rare, region-specific Pokémon Farfetch’d, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime, and Tauros from 7km Eggs.

These regional Pokémon are normally limited to specific parts of the world, so this is the first time Trainers in other countries will have the opportunity to obtain these Pokémon.  Better get to walking! If you’re curious about just how difficult it will be to hatch these Pokémon, Redditor ADD_ikt did some math. Good luck!

Mewtwo, on the other hand, was previously available only through Pokémon Go’s cryptic EX Raid system. In case you aren’t familiar with the system, here’s how it works: In order to participate in an EX Raid, you have to get lucky and obtain a special, invite-only pass, which earns you the opportunity to battle and catch this legendary Pokémon.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to guarantee you’ll obtain an EX Raid pass. The raids can also be incredibly inconvenient, as an EX Pass is good for a specific raid only, held at a specific location and time. If you can’t make it, you’re out of luck, and your pass will disappear. Therefore, this new event makes it easier than ever to get your hand on the illustrious Legendary Pokémon.

It’s worth noting that the Mewtwo caught during this new event won’t feature the moves Hyper Beam and Shadow Ball. These moves are available only to Mewtwo caught from EX Raids.

If you already have a Mewtwo but haven’t yet learned these moves, you may want to use a Charged TM and take your chances. There’s no confirmation on whether or not Hyper Beam and Shadow Ball will become “Legacy,” moves which are no longer available to new Pokémon, or if it just refers to those Mewtwo available through the normal raids, which cannot learn these moves at all. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
