Summer is right around the corner, and Pokemon Go fans in North America have already sold out the first Pokemon Go Fest happening in Chicago later this year in June. However, there’s another happening for the European folks in Dortmund. The Pokemon Go Fest Dortmund 2019 is still getting planned, and the tickets for the event have just become available for eager fans to sign up to get a chance to purchase tickets.

For those who don’t know, because of the high demand for these events, Niantic wants to ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to attend this event. What they do is they ask for players to sign up through the game, or with a viable email. All of these profile numbers and emails go into a large pot that Niantic pick out from, and if a person’s information gets chosen, they have the opportunity to buy a ticket for a limited time.

Here’s a quick break down on how you can enter your chance to win a ticket to the Dortmund event.

  1. Open your Pokemon Go application and go the main menu on the map screen
  2. Look for an events tab on the upper-right section (it should be green with a small ticket stub next to it), and click it
  3. You’ll see a list of the upcoming events, and you should see the Pokemon Go Fest 2019 Dortmund event tab with a label “Enter Drawing!” near it. Click on the event tab.
  4. When you’re in the event tab, you’ll need to confirm what primary email you wish to enter. It will default to the one associated with your Pokemon Go account, so if that’s the one you primarily use, then do not change it. Otherwise, modify it to the appropriate email.

You do not receive a confirmation email. If you have been chosen to purchase a ticket, you will have 48-hours to answer before your slot expires. You’ll need to return to the Pokemon Go application to fill in details, where you’ll input the specifics of how long you’d like to attend the Dortmund event, and confirm your ticket purchases. You may buy two tickets, one of yourself and one for your friend, but you will need to enter their trainer code on their behalf.

For additional information and support, be sure to check out Niantic’s help page to learn more about how their live events work. The Pokemon Go Fest 2019 Dortmund event begins on July 4 and continues until the 7. Ticket prices start at €25.00.
