Just like real life, relationships in Fire Emblem: Three Houses can be strengthened with a nice tea party. There are lots of ways to improve your relationship with characters, such as giving them gifts or flowers or returning items they have lost. You can also throw a little tea party for them. The tea party is more about the RPG and relationship management side of the game, so if you only really care about battles, this aspect of the game may not be for you.

As long as you have the right items, you can choose to have a tea party during the exploration portion of the game. In this guide, we will run through what you need to know.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses – Tea Party Guide – Tea For Two

During the Blue Sea Moon, or second month, of the game, you can do a quest for Ferdinand. He can be found in the stables and will give you an elegant tea set, and the mission Tea For Two. You will need to find Lorenz and give him the sleek tea set. Doing so will finish the quest, and unlock Tea Time, a new option that will be available on your days off in the Monastery.

To invite someone to a tea party, approach them, and you will have the option to invite them. Keep in mind, this costs an action point for the day, and there may very well be better ways to spend it.

The tea party itself consists of one on one conversation between you and the character you invite. Depending on the dialogue options you choose, it can have a beneficial effect on your relationship with that person. You’ll start by picking the tea; your guest favorite will be among the options, so choose wisely.

Next, you will pick the topic of conversation, and your guest will respond. This will happen three times. If all three get a positive response, you’ll get a fourth option. If this is well received, you’ll get +1 to both characters CHA stat.

It is best to learn as much as you can about a character before you invite them for tea, as this will improve your chances of getting a perfect score and the relevant stat boost. The game is filled with little clues about each character, from how they speak to their fellow students and staff, to the things they talk about outside of the tea party itself. Be sure to pay close attention, and you will learn all you need to know to impress them with a nice tea party.
