Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Ghost Recon Breakpoint that highlights the various features that will be coming to the PC version of the game. Seven years ago Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot claimed that their games had a 93-95% piracy rate on PC. Being frank, I didn’t believe that then and don’t believe it now. I especially don’t believe it because PC gaming, and good PC ports, are becoming more and more important to companies looking to maximize returns on their games.

Ubisoft is one of those companies that has improved their PC offerings over the years, so maybe the push towards free-to-play that Guillemot was championing at the time just stopped making sense. Either way, the PC features trailer boasts a LOT of features to try and help you decide to part with your cash.

The Ultra Graphics mode is the first thing they mention, and to be fair to them; the game sure does look pretty. The game will have support for 4K, uncapped framerates, and widescreen and multi-monitor support. Full control customization will be available, and the game will be taking advantage of AMD’s FidelityFX to bring you a great looking game with the lowest possible workload on your PC. The game will also support eye-tracking in both the menus and the game itself.

Finally, the game will have a built-in benchmarking tool, nice for people who like to squeeze every bit of juice out of their builds. Now, all the above is nice, but we are past the point of these features being things that developers should be able to use as PR material. The majority of the above should be featured in all Triple-A games. I guess the good thing is that not that long ago, and for a lot of games it is still the case, widescreen support was a far off dream.
