World of Warships Officially Releases as World of Warships: Legends with Campaign for Xbox and PlayStation on August 12

World of Warships is getting a full-on release, with the game becoming World of Warships: Legends with a campaign for players can earn exclusive currency as they progress through it

World of Warships is going for a full-blown release on Aug. 12 for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, becoming World of Warships: Legends. In addition to leaving early access, the game is going to receive an entire campaign for players to go through using many different ships.

The campaign is called The Hunt for Tirpitz. It’s going to run for a limited time, starting on Aug. 12 and ends on Sept. 15. The campaign is going to have 100 unique levels where players attempt to complete numerous challenges they have to advance to the next one. Players who complete through the campaign are going to earn exclusive currency they can turn in to purchase some of the game’s newer ships releasing later one. These newer ships include the Gneisenau or the Bayern, German Battleships.

By the end of the campaign, players should have earned up to 188 different boosters, 42 camos, 3,435 Thalers (exclusive currency), and earning the fan-favorite ship, the Tirpitz.

World of Warships is a free-to-play game anyone with a PC, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One can download it at their leisure for no cost. There are some microtransactions where players can purchase different ships, ship designs, colors, and many other cosmetic items. None of these items enhance or modify the gameplay in any way.

Additionally, World of Warships: Legends is going to have a new list of achievements on Xbox One and trophies for the PlayStation 4. Beyond that, Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro console owners can look forward to 4K resolution support promised to come later on. The developers behind the game, Wargaming, do not have a distinct road map. But they keep a thorough blog of their updates in the game.

You can download World of Warships: Legends right now for your PC, PlayStation 4, or the Xbox One. The campaign releases on Aug. 12, but ends on Sept 15, so make sure you get started on it early.
