Narrative adventure game developer Quantic Dream has a rich history of creating PlayStation-exclusive games, such as Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls for the PlayStation 3. Detroit: Become Human was another, but for the PlayStation 4.

However, the developer recently got released from their exclusivity deal with Sony. The ending of that contract allows them to release PC versions of their previously PlayStation-exclusive games. CEO David Cage says to expect this kind of thing moving forward.

In a recent interview with DualShockers, Cage discussed Quantic Dream’s new deal with the Chinese internet technology company NetEase. They spoke about how this deal allows Quantic Dream to release their games on more than just PlayStation consoles. After discussing the PC ports of their games, Cage got asked about the possibility of future Quantic Dream games coming to other platforms, such as Google Stadia and the upcoming Xbox Project Scarlett.

“Quantic Dream is not exclusive to any platform anymore,” Cage said. “So yes, unless there are some specific exclusivity deals on a title-by-title basis, all our games will be released on all platforms at launch.”

Earlier this year, Quantic Dream released Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls on PC via Epic Games Store. The PC version of Detroit: Become Human is set to be released on Epic Games Store as well, and is available to pre-order.
