The exclusive move in the previously announced Community Day event starring Turtwig in Pokemon Go was originally kept a secretly. We now know what the move is.
In the upcoming Pokémon Go Community Day event starring Turtwig, we now know the exclusive move a fully evolved Turtwig can learn.
Community Day in Pokémon Go is special monthly events where players can meet up with other players to try to capture special Pokémon. Players need to find and work with other players at their local community parks.
If the player fully evolves their special Pokémon before the event ends, that Pokémon has the chance to learn a new move that it previously couldn’t in the game. An average Community Day event generally lasts for only a couple of hours in a single day.
Turtwig is the star for the Community Day event happening on Sept. 15. Turtwig is a grass-type turtle Pokémon, who was one of the three starters Pokémon in the fourth generation of Pokémon games. It can fully evolve into a Torterra, a grass and ground-type Pokémon. Torterra is a giant turtle Pokémon with an entire landmass on its shell.
Participating players will also receive bonuses in the Community Day event. Players can earn three times the amount of Stardust, and three-hour lure modules if they take part. The Turtwig Community Day event starts at 11 am local time on Sept. 15, and ends at 2 pm local time.
The Community Day exclusive move did not come out in the initial announcement.
Today, Niantic finally revealed that Frenzy Plant is the Community Day exclusive move a trainers’ Torterra can learn during the event. Frenzy Plant is one of the strongest grass-type moves in the mainline games. This event marks the first time Torterra can learn the move in Pokémon Go.
