Metal Gear Solid movie director Jordan Vogt-Roberts has shared an update about his work on the script, revealing that it’s “full Kojima-quirk.”
The Metal Gear Solid movie has been in the works since 2017 and, looking at this message; we should be very close to see it in action as the director is also “hoping to meet a specific actor very soon” for casting purposes.
“We just turned in a new draft. It’s full Kojima-quirk and full Military surrealism. I won’t say more,” Vogt-Roberts shared on his Twitter account, where he also compared the recent Black Widow trailer with Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater scenes. “I’m hoping to meet a specific actor very soon.”
The director has never made a mystery that this is an actual passion project for him, as Hideo Kojima is one of his idols and even got to become one of his closest friends in the entertainment industry. The two also worked together on Death Stranding, where Vogt-Roberts is one of the preppers NPC providing the players with delivery missions.
As for the cast, we don’t have any specific information about the actors who will be appointed with the roles available in the movie, but we do know that Oscar Isaac (Star Wars‘ Poe Dameron) would love to play Solid Snake in the project.
