Time to fight with your friends on another console.

More and more games are beginning to support cross-play on PlayStation 4, now that Sony is allowing it again. Just a day or so after Minecraft updated to include it, it’s brutal fighter Mortal Kombat 11’s turn.

NetherRealm Studios announced via FAQ today that a new update is available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Once downloaded, fans can take on one another with cross-play between the platforms.

The feature is currently in testing through the game’s Online Kasual game modes. “PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will also have the option of manually joining the same designated Krossplay Online Rooms to play against each other,” the development team noted.

As for when Krossplay will be completely opened up across the whole game, that’s still unknown. “Exact timing has not been confirmed yet,” the developer said. However, it suggested keeping tabs on the Mortal Kombat and NetherRealm Twitter accounts for more information.

The company also noted that progress for your fights will remain “exclusive to the platform and account” you’re playing on, and that information cannot be transferred over between platforms. Not yet, anyway.

Sadly, there’s no word on when Nintendo Switch owners will be able to join the fun. Hopefully that’ll change in the future.

For those that want to try out Krossplay, simply start up the game and visit the Online menu. Go to Kasual modes and there will be an option to play with Krossplay on and off. Turn it on and you’ll be all set.
