Capcom defends "Action route" for Resident Evil 6, aim is to target COD fans
The debut trailer of Resident Evil 6 which was released earlier today was full of action and horror. The trailer gave us clear idea that Capcom is taking more action oriented approach for Resident Evil 6.
MCV asked Capcom UK head of marketing, Dave Turner, why Resident Evil franchise has taken action oriented approach specially with Raccoon City.
He replied, "We've seen the popularity of Resident Evil increase massively as the series became more action oriented - Resident Evil 5 is the biggest seller in the series. So, it makes sense for us to follow this action area more fully."
About Raccoon City, Turner said, "The dream would be that the millions of Call of Duty fans that are enjoying these fast-paced online games are attracted to this Resident Evil."
Its pretty clear now, Resident Evil franchise will now offer more fast-pace action oriented gameplay along with a mixture of horror. Do you like this change?, let us know in the comment section below.
