Report: Nintendo controls 70% of the video game market in Japan
According to details revealed by Media Create, Nintendo controls a total of 70% of the video game market (Software Sales) in Japan. Sony Computer Entertainment is second on the list with slightly less than 30%.
The report further states that with regards to console sales (Hardware Sales), Nintendo accounts for 75% of all machines sold, while Sony falls by 23%. This means that three out of four consoles sold in Japan are from Nintendo.
