New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge has been named the cover athlete for next year’s iteration of Sony’s hit baseball game, MLB The Show 18.
Judge smacked 52 home runs and knocked in 114 runs in his rookie campaign, for which he was named a finalist for American League Most Valuable Player and American League Rookie of the Year on Monday.
Previous seasons of The Show have featured cover athletes like Anthony Rizzo of the Chicago Cubs, Josh Donaldson of the Toronto Blue Jays, and even Hall of Famer and baseball legend Ken Griffey Jr.
Developed by Sony San Diego Studio, The Show is exclusive to the PlayStation 4 and is one of the best-selling and highest-rated sports games each year.
For the 25-year-old Judge, being the cover athlete is just one of many honors in his 2017 breakout season. Along with the Rookie of the Year and MVP nominations, Judge also won the Home Run Derby in July and helped lead the Yankees to within one win of reaching the World Series.
MLB The Show 18 will be available on March 27, 2018.
