Battleborn has just received a new update introducing native 4K resolution on PS4 Pro, among other modes made possible by the unleashed power of this new hardware. The 4K resolution comes as part of the Winter Update for Gearbox Software’s action MOBA, which also lets you have all 25 characters unlocked on the go.
These are the modes now available for PS4 Pro users:
- 1080p @ 30fps
- 1080p @ 60fps
- Native 4K @ 30fps
Interestingly, regular Xbox One and PS4 users now also get a chance to have the game running at 30fps or 60fps by selecting a dedicated option in the settings.
“Like many of you, we are technophiles who love to support new hardware and technology when it benefits our players,” commented Kit Lukianov, Community Manager, Gearbox Software.
“With this update, you will experience performance enhancements across the board. Every map, mission, and mode has been touched to improve optimisation, with a particular focus on the 4K capabilities of PS4 Pro. On PS4 Pro, Battleborn can now run at 1080p at 30 frames per second, 1080p at up to 60 frames per second, or gorgeous 4K at 30 frames per second. Needless to say, this update is an absolute game changer.”
This is just the latest effort by Gearbox to keep Battleborn running, even though it has very low usage percentage now and immediately lost momentum to Blizzard’s Overwatch.
