Battlefield 4 has finally arrived on retail shelves, and everyone seems to be enjoying every seconds of it except large chunk of PC gamers, who are constantly experiencing crashes, freezes and other issues.

Battlefield 4At the time of writing, official EA forums “answers.ea.com” has received over 33 pages of complaints from PC gamers about Battlefield 4 freezing, crashing and other issues.

Here is what a user on Reddit has to say: “The worst part about the crashes, is losing all progress made, upgrades earned, etc in that current match. Multiply that by each crash, for each person across the community. How about an XP boost for our trouble once this issue is figured out.”

We have not yet received any official byte from EA nor DICE commented, stay tuned to Gamepur for more details on this as we will update this post as soon as we get to hear anything from DICE or EA.

If you’re having problems, please make sure to follow these steps:

Make a clean install of PunkBuster by removing your original install and re-download the client.
Repair the Battlefield 4 installation by right-clicking on your game inside of the Origin client.

  • Make sure that you have the latest drivers for your graphics card, AMD and Nvidia:
Note that the recent issue where players that were using AMD cards on Windows 8 would get a red screen has been fixed with the recent AMD graphics cards driver update.
