It looks like criticism has had an impact on Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Its reveal trailer was among the most disliked ever on YouTube, since at 2.7 million dislikes, it is more hated than Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’ (2.1 million dislikes), Psy’s ‘Gangam Style’ (1.5 million dislikes) and Miley Cyrus’ ‘Wrecking Ball’ (1.2 million dislikes).
So it looks clear Activision should have changed something in its approach, even though as of now it is too late for developer Infinity Ward to completely change the game or some aspects people don’t like, such as setting and characters.
Anyway, some slight changes have actually occurred, since Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has now a new box art, one which is giving up on that spaceship right behind the main character and offering a more realistic, more coherent with the series approach.
The new cover stars a simple soldier with his gun, which should make Call of Duty fans more comfortable with whatever Infinity Ward has in store for them. Infinite Warfare is releasing for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 4.
